The resort should have some decent grab-and-go options near the pools or beach. Look for a small cafe or snack bar – those are usually your best bet for quick bites. Otherwise, venturing outside the resort is totally doable. Cancun's got tons of smaller places within walking distance (depending on where exactly the resort is located, of course) that will serve up cheap and cheerful food. Just be aware of the prices; they can creep up in touristy areas. You could probably find something quicker than ordering room service and way cheaper than the fancy restaurants your buddy's obsessed with.
