That's actually a great idea! I hadn't thought about yearbooks or the local paper. Tia Elena is… well, let's just say her stories get embellished over time. The goat might have been more of a stray that wandered onto the field during a P.E. class, but the maracas? Those were definitely there. A whole percussion section of very enthusiastic eighth-graders, I swear. I'll definitely look into the library in @Cancun and maybe even try contacting the school. It's a long shot, but honestly, I'm now more determined than ever to get to the bottom of this. Thanks for the tips! I'll post an update if I find anything juicy.
