Totally get you. Went there for a friend's birthday – we're all just pals, no couples – and it was intense. Felt like I was constantly dodging strategically placed rose petals. The constant serenading by the staff? A bit much. The food was amazing, though. Seriously amazing. But yeah, the romance thing was dialed up to eleven. It wasn't relaxing; it was... performative.

Ha! Rose petals, eh? That's exactly it. It felt like they were trying too hard. My partner and I kept joking that we should've brought disguises to blend in less. We actually considered ordering something extremely unromantic, like a burger and fries, just to spite the ambiance. Amazing food, you're right. That's the only saving grace, seriously. I might even go back just for the food…but I'd probably book a different resort. Maybe something a bit more…understated.
