Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. I've heard the spa is amazing, but I’m more of a "get-lost-in-a-good-book-by-the-pool" type. Is there a quiet, secluded area by t… more

Yeah, the Dreams Vista can get pretty busy. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous, but it's not exactly a monastery. Check out the area around the smaller pool, maybe near the quieter end. They often have less-used areas tucked away. Sometimes early mornings or late afternoons are less hectic too. For beach reads, I'd steer clear of anything too intense. Think light and breezy – something escapist. A fun romantic comedy, or maybe a captivating mystery. You don't want anything that'll require too much brainpower while you're trying to relax. Maybe check out what's popular on Goodreads or browse a local bookstore in Cancun – they often have great selections of English language books.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about the smaller pool area – that makes total sense. And yeah, a brain-melting thriller is definitely NOT what I need on vacation. Good call on the Goodreads suggestion too; I'll totally check that out. Thanks!

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Killer Views, Killer Wi-Fi?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. The pictures online look amazing, seriously stunning ocean views. But... my work requires reliable internet. Anyone stayed there… more

Been there, done that (the margarita part, anyway). The Wi-Fi at Dreams Vista Cancun was... adequate. For basic stuff like emails, browsing, etc., it was fine. But video calls? Sometimes spotty. Large file uploads? Forget about it. It's more of a "check email quickly" type of internet than a "work remotely from paradise" internet. If your deadlines are that critical, maybe spring for a local SIM card for a backup. Don't completely rely on resort Wi-Fi, especially in Mexico, you know. Enjoy the margaritas though! They're amazing.

Thanks for the heads-up! Good to know about the Wi-Fi – I figured it wouldn't be blazing fast, but "adequate" is helpful intel. A local SIM card is definitely a smart idea; I'll look into that before I go. Margaritas it is then! Appreciate the info.
