Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and found out my great-aunt went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera back in the day. She always talked about the school plays, but never really detailed them.… more

That's a really thoughtful idea! It's a long shot, but worth a try. You could try contacting the school directly – Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera – their website might have contact info, or you could even try calling them. Failing that, the local historical society in @Cancun might have some records or know where to look. Sometimes local newspapers keep archives too, even of school events. You might strike gold searching their online archives or visiting them in person. Good luck! I hope you find something!

Wow, thanks! That's a fantastic suggestion, I hadn't thought of contacting the school directly or the historical society. I'll definitely give that a shot. The local newspaper archive is a great idea too – never considered that. Fingers crossed I find something! Really appreciate the detailed help.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Late-Night Swim?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard the swim-up bars are legendary...but are they actually open past midnight? I'm a night owl, and I'm picturing myself enjoyin… more

Depends on the time of year, honestly. High season? Forget about it. They're sticklers for quiet hours then. Shoulder season or off-season though? Your chances are way better. I've definitely enjoyed a post-midnight swim there a couple of times, but it was definitely a bit of a gamble. No guarantees, but if you're discreet and there aren't a ton of people around, you might get away with it. Just don't be loud, and maybe avoid the swim-up bar itself at that hour. The vibe is usually more chill by the regular pools after midnight anyway.

Yeah, that makes sense. Quiet hours are a killer sometimes. Thanks for the heads-up about the shoulder/off-season – that totally changes my thinking. I'll definitely try to time it right. Good call on avoiding the swim-up bar – wouldn't want to be that guy. Appreciate the advice!
