That's a pretty level-headed take on it. I figured the "mysteries" were probably just that – overblown stories. Still, the electric atmosphere you describe… that's intriguing in its own right. I’m definitely going to check it out, old wiring or not! Maybe I'll bring a recording device just to capture that "collective anxiety" you mentioned. Might make for an interesting listen later.
