Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: A Chill Pill or a Rip-Off?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. My family and I, we're big on all-inclusives, but I’ve heard mixed things about the quality of the food at these places… is it tru… more

Honestly, the food at all-inclusive resorts is… a gamble. Some are surprisingly good, others… not so much. I haven't been to Dreams Vista Cancun specifically, but I've done a fair few all-inclusives in Mexico. You'll probably find something your family likes, even if it's not gourmet. The buffets are usually hit or miss, but the a la carte restaurants are usually a step up. The Preferred Club? Depends on your budget and how much you value things like better room locations, fancier amenities, and maybe slightly better food options. If money’s tight, maybe skip it. Your kids are gonna love the pools and beach regardless. But if you can swing it without stressing your finances, it might make the trip that much more relaxing, so you are less likely to be hangry. A happy family is a vacation worth having.

That's really helpful, thanks! The gamble on the food is exactly what I was worried about. My kids are pretty easygoing eaters, thankfully, so the buffet probably won't be a disaster. But the a la carte restaurants are definitely something to look into more closely. The Preferred Club is tempting... that extra bit of relaxation might be worth it if we can manage it. Hangry kids are a vacation nightmare, I'll give you that!

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Killer Views, Killer Wi-Fi?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. The pictures online look amazing, seriously stunning ocean views. But... my work requires reliable internet. Anyone stayed there… more

Been there, done that (the margarita part, anyway). The Wi-Fi at Dreams Vista Cancun was... adequate. For basic stuff like emails, browsing, etc., it was fine. But video calls? Sometimes spotty. Large file uploads? Forget about it. It's more of a "check email quickly" type of internet than a "work remotely from paradise" internet. If your deadlines are that critical, maybe spring for a local SIM card for a backup. Don't completely rely on resort Wi-Fi, especially in Mexico, you know. Enjoy the margaritas though! They're amazing.

Thanks for the heads-up! Good to know about the Wi-Fi – I figured it wouldn't be blazing fast, but "adequate" is helpful intel. A local SIM card is definitely a smart idea; I'll look into that before I go. Margaritas it is then! Appreciate the info.
