Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Anyone else find the resort’s insistence on “Mexican Fiesta” themed nights a little…much? I mean, I get it, it’s Cancun, but after three nights of mariachi band… more

Yeah, I totally get that. Three nights of that is enough to make anyone want to crawl into a hole. Sounds like they really leaned into the whole "Cancun party scene" thing. Luxury resorts sometimes go a little overboard with the theming, I think. It's like they think everyone wants a non-stop fiesta, and forget people sometimes just want chill time. I'd guess there are probably quieter areas of the resort – maybe check out the resort map online, or ask reception if they have any suggestions for low-key activities or less crowded spaces. It’s a big place, after all. Maybe their website mentions other events going on – if you can find any other things scheduled, it might give you a better idea of what to expect.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Killer Views, Killer Wi-Fi?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. The pictures online look amazing, seriously stunning ocean views. But... my work requires reliable internet. Anyone stayed there… more

Been there, done that (the margarita part, anyway). The Wi-Fi at Dreams Vista Cancun was... adequate. For basic stuff like emails, browsing, etc., it was fine. But video calls? Sometimes spotty. Large file uploads? Forget about it. It's more of a "check email quickly" type of internet than a "work remotely from paradise" internet. If your deadlines are that critical, maybe spring for a local SIM card for a backup. Don't completely rely on resort Wi-Fi, especially in Mexico, you know. Enjoy the margaritas though! They're amazing.

Thanks for the heads-up! Good to know about the Wi-Fi – I figured it wouldn't be blazing fast, but "adequate" is helpful intel. A local SIM card is definitely a smart idea; I'll look into that before I go. Margaritas it is then! Appreciate the info.
