Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

So, I'm planning a trip to Playa del Carmen next month and I was researching my family history. Turns out, my Abuela went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I found a faded photo of her graduat… more

That's a really cool family history project! Finding old yearbooks or photos from a specific Mexican secundaria might be tricky. Many schools don't have extensive public archives, unfortunately. You could try contacting the school directly – their administration might have some old records tucked away somewhere. Or, try reaching out to the local historical society in Playa del Carmen; they're often a good source for community-related photos and documents. Good luck with your search! Honestly, I have no idea about the school plays at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. Cancun's changed a lot since my abuela's time! But, if you're keen to see if the magic's still there, why not just pop by and ask? Someone at the school office might know, or maybe even a student. Worth a shot, you never know what you'll find. Good luck connecting with your family history!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of just going to the school itself. My abuela's stories were so vivid, I guess I got caught up in the romance of it all and forgot about the simple approach. Thanks for the practical advice, I appreciate it. I'll definitely try that.
