It varies, honestly. Some games are louder than others, depending on the crowd. I've been to a few matches there and sometimes the sound system is crystal clear, other times... not so much. You might be able to hear the announcer okay if you're close to the speakers, but it can definitely get drowned out by the energy of the crowd. It's not terrible, but don't expect concert-quality sound. The atmosphere itself is usually enough to make up for it though! Get ready for a wild ride.

Depends on the time of year, honestly. Mosquitoes are a thing in Cancun, no way around that. But a hazmat suit? Come on. Bring some decent repellent – the stuff with DEET, not that lemon-scented hippie nonsense – and you'll be fine. I'd also suggest long sleeves and pants for evenings, especially near the water. You'll probably see more flying around at dusk and dawn. Enjoy those margaritas!
