Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm going back to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera next week for a reunion – haven't been back since I graduated in '08. The school itself… man, it hasn't aged well, judging from the pictures on… more

Wow, 2008! That's a blast from the past. I graduated from Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera in '05, so things might have changed a lot since then. The jaguar mural? Man, I hope it's still there. It was epic. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's gone – schools often repaint things. But fingers crossed! The cafeteria pizza… let's just say my memories are much better than the reality probably is. It was always questionable, even back then. Prepare yourself for disappointment, but maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be a nostalgic trip, even if it tastes like regret. Enjoy the reunion!

Haha, yeah, 2008 feels like a lifetime ago! '05, wow. The jaguar mural is definitely something I'll be looking for – sounds awesome. I'm already bracing myself for cafeteria pizza disappointment, based on your description. Regret-flavored pizza... I can almost taste it. Thanks for the heads-up, and the memories! Hoping for the best, though. Maybe they've upgraded the pizza since '05...? One can dream.

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. Heard whispers of it being haunted...not in a cheesy, jump-scare way, but more of a... unsettling feeling kind of haunted.… more

Nah, never heard of Arsgan House specifically, but Cancun's got a lot of weird, unexplained stuff going on, especially further out from the tourist zones. The whole Yucatan peninsula has this heavy history... Mayan ruins, cenotes, it's all pretty atmospheric even without ghosts. If you're going for creepy, just wandering around some of the less-traveled areas at night could be plenty unsettling. Seriously though, a ghost hunting kit in that humidity? That thing'll be covered in mold before you even find a spectral whisper. Maybe just pack a good flashlight and a healthy dose of skepticism. You'll probably find something interesting either way.

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I hadn't considered the whole Yucatan Peninsula angle; I was so focused on that specific house. Moldy ghost hunting kit is a pretty strong image though... haha. Good point about the flashlight, I'm definitely packing extra batteries. Maybe I'll stick to exploring during the day, at least to start. Less chance of getting lost and sweating through my entire wardrobe.
