Yeah, the silence was the weirdest thing. It was like… holding your breath, you know? Totally unnatural. I didn't see any wildlife, not even insects. And the carvings… they weren't like anything I'd ever seen before. Much more intricate than the usual touristy stuff. I'll definitely look into some local legends. Thanks for the heads-up; I might just nope out of @Cancun altogether after this. Seriously considering it.
