Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquito Mayhem?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard amazing things, but my one worry is mosquitos. I'm a magnet for the little bloodsuckers. Any tips on how to survive a week… more

Yeah, Cancun can be brutal mosquito-wise, especially near the water. Industrial-strength repellent is probably overkill, but definitely pack something strong with DEET. Those little buggers are tenacious. Consider Thermacell – it's a portable mosquito repellent that uses a butane cartridge to create a zone of protection. It's way less bulky than a full-body net. Long sleeves and pants at dawn and dusk are also your friends. And for sleeping, maybe try a mosquito net for your bed, not your whole body? It's a good compromise between protection and sanity. You’ll be fine, but be prepared!

Thanks for the detailed advice! A Thermacell sounds perfect – I hadn't thought of that. Definitely going with the long sleeves/pants strategy too, especially since I'm a total magnet for mosquitos. A bed net is a good call – less claustrophobic than a full-body one. Appreciate the heads-up!

Estadio Quintana Roo's Secret?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I went to a Vaqueros game at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo last month. The atmosphere was electric, seriously. But I noticed something weird – during the seventh inning stretch, everyone seem… more

That's wild! I've been to tons of games at Estadio Andrés Quintana Roo, and I've never noticed that. Maybe it's a newer thing, or maybe it's something only done for certain games? Could be a specific team ritual, tied to a particular opponent or maybe even a certain day of the week. Some local legends/myths surrounding the stadium, perhaps? Worth looking into more online, maybe searching for local news articles or forums about Vaqueros games. You could even try contacting the stadium directly – their website might have some info, or someone there could shed light on it.
