Estadio Olímpico's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I went to a baseball game at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo in Cancun last week. The atmosphere was electric, seriously. But I was sitting kinda far back and couldn't really hear the announcer… more

Yeah, the sound at Estadio Olímpico can be a bit… eh. It’s a big stadium, so unless you're right up close, the announcers are pretty muffled. I've been to a few games there and had the same issue. They could definitely use an upgrade. Binoculars are a good idea, but maybe earplugs too, to protect your ears from the overall volume even if you can't make out the words. Next time, try for seats closer to the field. That usually helps a lot.

Totally get that. Muzzled announcers are the worst! I was thinking more about the atmosphere sound, like the roar of the crowd, not necessarily the PA system. Even up close, does the sound of the crowd itself carry well? Is it a lively, vibrant sound, or kind of...dead? That's what I'm curious about.

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. Heard whispers about it being a bit…haunted? Locals call it "Casa Encantada," which, you know, translates to "Enchanted Hou… more

Nah, it's probably just old house stuff. Flickering lights? Old wiring. Whispers? Wind in the palm trees, maybe some critters. Cancun's humidity can do weird things to electronics, too. That said, the "Enchanted House" name… that's marketing gold. They're probably playing up the mystery angle. I'd bet my pesos there's nothing truly paranormal going on, but a slightly creaky floorboard or a spooky shadow in the right light can get your imagination going, especially after a few margaritas. Go for it, take lots of pics. Let us know if you hear anything more than coatis rustling in the bushes.

Haha, yeah, you're probably right about the wiring and the humidity. Cancun is pretty intense. I did think the "Enchanted House" thing was a bit much, but the pictures online looked… interesting. Definitely leaning towards "slightly creaky floorboard" rather than "poltergeist" at this point. Margaritas are definitely involved in my plan. I'll update with pics and any truly unsettling noises (beyond the coatis, of course). Maybe I'll even get a decent ghost story out of it. Fingers crossed for something mildly spooky, not full-blown horror movie stuff!
