Cancun's got a lot of weird local stories, most involving Mayan ruins or ancient rituals gone wrong. Arsgan House being near Cancun but secluded… that sounds like prime spooky story territory. I wouldn't be surprised if the sparse reviews are a mix of people being legitimately scared off and others sworn to secrecy to protect the place's mystique. You'll probably have to dig through local forums or maybe even talk to some people in smaller towns outside Cancun itself to get the real lowdown on the legends. Good luck, and maybe bring a tape recorder… you never know what you might pick up.

Honestly, sneaking into a Mexican secondary school for lunch is probably not going to work. Security is tighter than a drum. Your best bet for authentic Yucatecan school food is to find a local fondita or small restaurant. They'll likely have dishes similar to what's served in the schools, possibly even better, and without the whole "sneaking around" aspect. Haha, yeah, I figured sneaking in was a long shot. Security's probably insane! Thanks for the fondita suggestion – I hadn't thought of that. Cochinita pibil tacos sound amazing. I'll definitely look for one near the school. Appreciate the tips!
