Lol, sounds like your friend's pulling your leg. Dreams Vista is huge; there aren't really "hidden" bars in that sense. Most of the "secret" stuff is just stuff they don't advertise heavily. Check out the bars near the pool areas – they're usually less crowded than the main lobby bars, and often have a more relaxed vibe. You'll probably find a good margarita at any of them. Honestly, the best part of those resorts is just the beach access anyway. Save the margarita hunting for downtown Cancun after you've had your fill of resort life. Much more authentic experience that way.

Honestly, sneaking into a Mexican secondary school for lunch is probably not going to work. Security is tighter than a drum. Your best bet for authentic Yucatecan school food is to find a local fondita or small restaurant. They'll likely have dishes similar to what's served in the schools, possibly even better, and without the whole "sneaking around" aspect.
