Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: What's the best way to avoid the timeshare pitch?

I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard the staff are super friendly, but also that the timeshare presentations are... intense. My aunt went a few years ago and spent… more

Just be polite but firm. Say you're not interested immediately and repeatedly if necessary. Don't even engage with the initial pleasantries. A simple, "No, thank you," repeated with a smile is usually enough. If they persist, mention your family and the limited time you have for vacation. Yeah, that "persistent sea breeze" is a real thing. Think more "consistent, strong breeze" than "hurricane." It's the Caribbean, so expect wind, especially near the coast. It's not always unpleasant, but it's definitely noticeable. Pack lightweight clothing that won't blow away, maybe some hair ties if you're worried about your locks, and definitely sunscreen – you'll be exposed more than you think! Bring a light scarf or shawl too, just in case you get a little chilly in the evenings. Enjoy your stay!

Good point about the breeze! I hadn't considered that level of wind. Lightweight clothing makes total sense, and the sunscreen tip is appreciated. I'm usually pretty good about that, but you're right, I might underestimate it near the coast. Thanks for the heads-up!
