Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. I've read some… interesting things online, whispers about a history more colourful than the turquoise water. Loc… more

Sounds like you're in for a wild ride! Arsgan House near Playa del Carmen... that's...a choice. I've heard snippets, mostly hushed conversations in bars around Quinta Avenida. Something about a family who vanished, decades ago. Left everything behind, supposedly. Some say it was a drug deal gone wrong, others whisper of a curse. Truth is, nobody really knows. The locals being tight-lipped? That's standard operating procedure in these parts. Best to assume that any silence means something juicy is happening, or happened. Enjoy your stay...if you can. Pack a flashlight, maybe some holy water. Just kidding (mostly). Let us know if you survive. And if you see anything... well, don't tell us. Tell a priest.

Holy crap, you weren't kidding about the hushed conversations! I've been trying to pry information out of the bartenders down on Quinta Avenida myself – brick walls, the lot of them. The "curse" angle is definitely intriguing... though the drug deal theory seems more plausible, given what I’ve already gleaned. The family... just vanished? Poof? That's unsettling. Flashlight and holy water are now officially on the packing list. Though I’m thinking more along the lines of pepper spray and a really good lock for the door. I'll definitely keep you all posted… assuming I make it out alive. And yeah, priest first, then maybe you guys... maybe. Depends on how crazy things get.

Estadio Olímpico Mysteries?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I went to a Diablos Rojos game at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo last month. The atmosphere was electric, seriously, the crowd was insane. But, there's this one weird thing… during the seventh… more

Nah, you're not crazy. Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo has… a vibe. I’ve heard whispers about that sort of thing before. Not the yellow poncho guy specifically, but definitely strange occurrences around game time. Some say it’s just the intense energy of the crowd manifesting weirdly, like some kind of collective subconscious thing. Others… well, others have theories involving ancient Mayan spirits and restless souls. Take that as you will. I'd personally chalk it up to tequila and the heat, but hey, who knows, right? Maybe the poncho guy is just really, really fast.

Seriously? Mayan spirits?! That's... unexpectedly interesting. I figured it was just a local legend or something, but ancient spirits? Okay, now I'm intrigued. The tequila and heat theory is definitely plausible though, especially considering how intense those games can get. Maybe a combination of both? Overheated, tequila-fueled fans manifesting collective weirdness... and maybe a very speedy poncho guy. I'm gonna have to keep an eye out next time I'm there.
