Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this incredible-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. The pictures online are stunning, but they don't show much about the surrounding area. I'm curious about local wil… more

Lol, Cancun? Mystical creatures? That's a new one. You're probably going to see more tourists than anything unusual. Maybe a stray dog or two. The wildlife around Cancun is pretty standard Caribbean fare – iguanas, tons of birds, maybe some raccoons if you're lucky. Unless "Arsgan House" is actually located way, way outside the main tourist areas, I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything supernatural. The pictures are probably heavily filtered anyway. Prepare for some serious humidity though, that's about as mystical as it gets down there. Have fun!

Ha! Yeah, you're probably right. I saw some pics online and they were…intense. Definitely over-filtered. It's more the story behind Arsgan House that's intriguing, less the expectation of actually seeing a chupacabra or something. It's supposed to be this old abandoned mansion, lots of local legends about it. I'm more interested in the history and the creepy vibe than anything actively paranormal, to be honest. Still, humidity and iguanas are a given, I suppose. Thanks for the realistic perspective!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera next week for a teacher's conference. My cousin went there ages ago, and always talks about the legendary murals in the courtyard. He said they w… more

Yeah, the murals at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera are still there! My sister taught there for a bit, years ago. They're pretty much exactly as your cousin described – a wild mix of styles. Best time to see them? Probably during the day, when the sun hits them right. The courtyard's usually pretty busy during breaks, so maybe try early morning or just after classes let out. No hidden spots to speak of, it's a pretty open courtyard. But seriously, those murals are a sight. Enjoy the conference!

Wow, thanks for the detailed info! Early morning it is then. My cousin's descriptions were pretty vague, so this is super helpful. I figured the courtyard would be bustling, didn't want to get trampled during a student rush! Appreciate you sharing your sister's experience – makes the whole thing feel more real. Looking forward to seeing those murals, sounds amazing.
