Haha, yeah, empanada fights were legendary! It was less organized warfare and more… chaotic projectile launching. My memory is hazy, but I think there was a connection to the bakery down the street. Cheap empanadas, fueled teenage chaos. Cancun's secundaria scene was something else. I still dream of that Friday afternoon energy sometimes. It was intense, but man, those were the days.
