Yeah, I've been to a few games there. The sound system is…quirky. It's not terrible, but definitely inconsistent. Sometimes it's perfect, other times it's like you're listening through a slightly wonky old transistor radio. I wouldn't worry about earplugs, though. The echo thing is more of an oddity than something painful. Probably just depends on where you're sitting, too. Have fun at your next game!

Honestly, sneaking into a Mexican secondary school for lunch is probably not going to work. Security is tighter than a drum. Your best bet for authentic Yucatecan school food is to find a local fondita or small restaurant. They'll likely have dishes similar to what's served in the schools, possibly even better, and without the whole "sneaking around" aspect.
