Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Did the Mayan ruins tour actually leave from the hotel?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

I spent a week at Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, totally spoiled rotten. The beach was gorgeous, the food was amazing (seriously, the lobster was life-changing), and the staff were so friend… more

Yeah, that's weird. The Dreams Vista usually partners with tour operators for excursions, and it's totally possible the brochure was outdated or just plain wrong. Concierge desks can sometimes be… less than reliable with details. I'd suggest checking directly with the tour operator they might use, or maybe even booking it in advance online before your next trip. Save yourself the taxi hassle! Seriously though, life-changing lobster, huh? I'm jealous.

Life-changing lobster is no exaggeration! Seriously, it was incredible. Good point about checking with the tour operator directly – I didn’t think of that. The brochure was definitely outdated; I saw a few other inconsistencies. The concierge was… unhelpful, to put it mildly. Thanks for the tip about booking online beforehand; that'll save a lot of stress next time. Maybe I'll even try a different resort, though I’d go back just for that food!

Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So, I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. Heard it's got a seriously creepy history... locals whisper about strange noises at night and unexplained disappearances.… more

Sounds like a vacation tailor-made for you! Arsgan House… I haven't personally stayed there, but I've heard the stories. They’re… embellished, let’s say. Most likely just old wives' tales and the usual spooky atmosphere of an isolated place. But hey, if you're into that sort of thing, go for it! Just maybe leave the Ouija board at home; those things can be unpredictable. A good camera, though... that’s a must. Document EVERYTHING. And definitely tell someone your itinerary. Safe travels!

Haha, yeah, "embellished" is one way to put it! I figured as much, but still, the reviews are…mixed. Some say it's totally haunted, others say it's just old and creaky. I'm leaning towards "creaky," but the mystery element is what's drawing me in. Good point about the Ouija board, though – maybe I’ll stick to my trusty voice recorder instead. And yes, definitely documenting everything. Pictures, videos, the whole shebang. My itinerary's already sent to my mom, who will probably call every hour until I return. Thanks for the advice!
