Haha, yeah, Cancun wasn't exactly the first place that sprang to mind when I mentioned "haunted chalet". It's more like...a secluded villa, actually, a bit further inland from the usual tourist hustle. Definitely not a tourist trap – it's practically invisible unless you know exactly where to look. Howler monkeys though? That's a good point, I hadn't considered that. The noises were definitely… unsettling. More than just old house creaks, it felt…intentional. No Ouija board involved, I promise! I'll definitely let you know what I find out – maybe I'll need more than earplugs.
