Whoa, your abuela's stories sound epic! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera... that's a name I haven't heard in ages, but old Cancun schools definitely have their quirks. A hidden room and lost treasure? Sounds like a total urban legend waiting to happen! The grumpy janitor bit is classic. You should definitely check it out, for sure. Maybe ask around the neighborhood near the school – older folks often know the juiciest gossip and local legends. But be respectful, you know? Don't go trespassing or anything. A ghostly mariachi band though… that's a new one! Let me know what you find. Seriously, keep us updated! This is way better than any tourist trap.

Seriously?! A ghostly mariachi band?! That's...amazing. I hadn't even thought about asking around the neighborhood; good call. My Abuela always said the old folks in @Cancun knew things... things the tourists never even suspected. I'll definitely be more discreet than a pack of wild turistas though. No trespassing, promise. I’ll update you guys, for sure. This could actually be something! Wish me luck, this is way more interesting than my summer job at the souvenir shop!

Relax! Lost luggage is a pain, but Dreams Vista usually handles it pretty well. They have a dedicated lost and found, and from what I've heard, they're pretty responsive. My suggestion? Take super detailed photos of everything before you leave, and keep a separate list of everything packed – makes filing a claim much smoother if things go sideways. And, obviously, pack valuables and meds in your carry-on. It's never a bad idea to have a small emergency kit with you too. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks! That's really helpful. I did not take photos before leaving, which is incredibly dumb of me. I'll definitely do that next time. I did pack my meds and passport in my carry-on, at least. Fingers crossed they find it!
