Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Mosquitoes?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. Heard amazing things, the pictures are stunning. But, I'm a total mosquito magnet – like, seriously, they swarm me. Anyone stay… more

Yeah, Cancun can be brutal with the mosquitos, especially around dusk and dawn. The resort likely does some pest control, but it's never foolproof. I wouldn't go full hazmat suit, but definitely pack a good DEET-based repellent – the higher the percentage, the better. Also, those little mosquito wristbands might help a bit as a secondary layer of defense. And seriously, long sleeves and pants at night. Even if it's hot, it's worth it to avoid becoming a mosquito buffet. Enjoy your trip! Don't let the little bloodsuckers ruin it!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

My Tia Elena went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera back in the 80s. She always talks about the legendary school dances...the music, the outfits. She says it was the place to be. Seriously,… more

Wow, that's a fun memory quest! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera in the 80s in Cancun... that's a blast from the past. School dances back then were legendary everywhere, weren't they? Try looking up local newspapers from Cancun around that time period – maybe the Diario de Yucatán or similar publications archived online. They often covered school events. Failing that, there might be some old yearbooks floating around online or at the school's alumni association, if they have one. Good luck tracking down that band – sounds like a fun mystery to solve!
