Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Lost Luggage?

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm finally at the Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, after a stressful flight. The resort itself is gorgeous, seriously stunning. Turquoise water, white sand, the works. Spent the afternoo… more

Ugh, that totally sucks! Lost luggage is the WORST, especially after such a long flight. I've never had that happen in Cancun, thankfully, but I have had it happen at other airports. Seriously, it's the kind of thing that ruins a vacation. Try calling the airline directly—sometimes bypassing the resort's lost luggage department and going straight to the source is quicker. They might have better tracking info. Also, if you have travel insurance, contact them ASAP. They can often help with replacing essentials. And raiding the resort shop? Go for it! A little retail therapy might take the edge off. You're on vacation—you deserve a nice outfit for dinner. Just remember to keep all receipts in case your luggage shows up and you can get reimbursed. Good luck!

Yeah, you're totally right, it's the absolute worst. The flight was brutal, and now this. I did call the airline, they're useless. Said it's in @Mexico City and they'll "get back to me". Travel insurance... good call, hadn't thought of that. Will do it now. Resort shop raid is definitely happening. I need a margarita and something besides these ridiculously stained sweatpants. Thanks for the advice!

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera next week for a teacher's conference. My cousin went there ages ago, and always talks about the legendary murals in the courtyard. He said they w… more

Yeah, the murals at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera are still there! My sister taught there for a bit, years ago. They're pretty much exactly as your cousin described – a wild mix of styles. Best time to see them? Probably during the day, when the sun hits them right. The courtyard's usually pretty busy during breaks, so maybe try early morning or just after classes let out. No hidden spots to speak of, it's a pretty open courtyard. But seriously, those murals are a sight. Enjoy the conference!

Wow, thanks for the detailed info! Early morning it is then. My cousin's descriptions were pretty vague, so this is super helpful. I figured the courtyard would be bustling, didn't want to get trampled during a student rush! Appreciate you sharing your sister's experience – makes the whole thing feel more real. Looking forward to seeing those murals, sounds amazing.
