Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this gorgeous-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. The pictures online are stunning, but I'm a little freaked out by the reviews mentioning some…odd occurrences. Peo… more

Lol, Cancun and haunted chalets? That's a new one. Sounds like a recipe for a killer vacation story, honestly. Flickering lights and whispers? Could be anything from faulty electrical work (Cancun heat does weird things to wiring) to, you know, the usual tropical critters making noise at night. I've been to @Mexico a bunch, and old houses there…they definitely have character. "Character" being a polite way of saying, "stuff probably breaks and makes spooky noises." Unless you're genuinely afraid of the dark and loud noises, I wouldn't sweat it too much. If you're really worried, maybe look for recent reviews – the older ones might be exaggerating for effect. Or just pack earplugs and a really bright flashlight. Problem solved.

Haha, yeah, killer vacation story is a good way to put it! It wasn't terrifying, more… unsettling. The flickering lights were definitely weird, and the whispers were… I don't know, maybe just the wind? But they were definitely whispers, not creaks or anything. It was mostly the feeling of being watched, you know? Like someone was just there. The place was old, granted, and the humidity is insane in @Mexico, so the electrical stuff makes sense. I didn't think of looking at recent reviews, good call. Ear plugs and a flashlight are definitely on the packing list next time. Maybe I'm just a scaredy-cat.

Estadio's Sound System?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a baseball game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the atmosphere is electric, but I'm curious – how good is the sound syst… more

Honestly, I can't speak to the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo's sound system specifically. Never been to a game there. But Mexican stadiums, generally speaking...they vary wildly. Some are amazing, crystal clear sound, others... well, let's just say you might need to bring your own subtitles. I'd suggest checking out some videos on YouTube of recent games. That'll give you a much better idea than any random internet stranger could. Have a great time in @Cancun though! Enjoy the baseball!
