That's super helpful, thanks! The $200-$300 cash suggestion is perfect, I was totally overthinking the currency situation. Good point about tipping the boat crew on the Isla Mujeres excursion – hadn't even considered that! I'm definitely going to make sure to have some smaller bills handy for those little extra things.
