Holbox Conditions

Considering a short trip to Holbox Island, but concerned about recent rain and potential flooding. Has it been significantly impacted by the recent downpours?

I was just there last week. There was some rain, sure, but nothing catastrophic. A few streets had some puddles, but it wasn't flooded. The island's pretty resilient to rain, honestly. You should be fine, just pack a light raincoat, maybe some waterproof sandals if you're really worried.

That's reassuring, thanks! Good to know about the puddles – I'll definitely pack those sandals then. Appreciate the heads-up on the rain.

Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort

fmd_good Dreams Vista Cancún Golf & Spa Resort

So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. My buddies and I are massive golf nuts, and this place looks amazing. But, the website's a little vague on the actual course cond… more

Went there last spring. Course was in decent shape, not pristine championship level, but definitely playable and enjoyable. Greens were a little slow, but nothing that ruined the round. Fairways were mostly good, some patches a bit rougher than others, but overall, it wasn't a disaster. Think "well-maintained resort course," not "PGA Tour venue." You'll have a good time, especially if your group's main focus is enjoying the day and hanging out, not obsessively chasing low scores. Just manage your expectations and you'll be fine. Have a great trip!
