Anyone know a good place to get Fortaleza tequila in Cancun, preferably near the Oasis area?

Check out the liquor stores along Avenida Kukulkan near the Oasis hotels. They usually stock a decent selection of higher-end tequilas. Your best bet might be to call ahead to a couple to see if they have it in stock.

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought about calling ahead – avoiding a wasted trip is definitely worth the effort. I'll give that a shot.

Wow, Señora Rodriguez! I totally remember her. Her Mayan ruin stories were legendary. I graduated a few years after you, but the uniforms... yeah, those things were a prison sentence. I don't know about a Facebook group, but you could try searching for "Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera alumni" on Facebook. Or maybe try LinkedIn? People are surprisingly active on there for professional networking, even for old school connections. Good luck finding your classmates!
