Lol, Cancun? A secluded chalet near Cancun sounds wildly oxymoronic. My guess is "unusual happenings" translates to "lots of mosquitos and questionable plumbing". But hey, a flashlight is always a good idea in Mexico, even if it's just to fend off aggressive iguanas. Don't get your hopes up about a dusty diary though – you'll probably find a half-eaten bag of Cheetos instead. Let us know if you actually see anything beyond wildlife and questionable maintenance.
