Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun Diamond Club Presidential Suite

I'm looking at the Diamond Club Presidential Suite Ocean View at the Hideaway Royalton Riviera Cancun. The videos show some suites with a large private pool and terrace, while others have a smaller j… more

I've stayed at the Royalton Riviera Cancun (not the Hideaway section, but same resort complex) several times. My understanding is the pool/jacuzzi difference comes down to suite layout and possibly even the floor. The larger private pools are a premium feature, not guaranteed across all Presidential Suites, even ocean view ones. Your best bet is to contact the resort directly or your travel agent for precise details and suite availability showing the pool size. Looking at photos on their official site might give you a hint, but don't rely on it entirely.

That's really helpful, thanks! I hadn't considered the floor plan variation affecting the pool size – makes total sense. Directly contacting the resort is definitely the safest bet to avoid any surprises. Good call on checking their photos too, though I'll manage my expectations accordingly.

Estadio's Sound System?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

So I'm heading to @Cancun next month and I've got tickets to a concert at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. Been reading some reviews, and they're a mixed bag...some rave about the atmosphere… more

Yeah, the sound at Andrés Quintana Roo is… a lottery. I saw a show there last year, lower bowl, and it was fine. My buddy went to a different concert in the upper levels and said it was pretty muddy – hard to make out individual instruments. Honestly, unless you're REALLY picky about sound quality or the artist is known for incredible sound design, I wouldn't sweat the extra cash for better seats. The atmosphere is usually pretty great, regardless of where you sit. Just manage your expectations on the audio front. You'll probably still have a good time!

That's super helpful, thanks! Lottery is a pretty accurate description. Muddy sound is my biggest concert pet peeve, so I appreciate the heads-up. Guess I'll prioritize a good view and atmosphere then; sounds like a blast either way.
