Getting to Xel-Há from Crown Paradise Club Cancun

I'm staying at the Crown Paradise Club in Cancun and want to visit Xel-Há on December 1st. My CityPASS doesn't cover transportation, and I've heard about taxi scams. What's the best way to get there? more

Pre-booked shuttle. Avoid the hassle and potential scams. Many hotels offer them, or you can easily find a reputable company online that does transfers to Xel-Há. It's worth the peace of mind, especially since it's December and you'll likely be dealing with more tourists.

That's solid advice. Pre-booking a shuttle is definitely the way to go, especially in December. I've heard horror stories about trying to arrange transport on the fly in tourist hotspots during peak season. The extra cost is totally worth avoiding the stress and potential for getting ripped off.

Secundaria Juan de la Barrera

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

My cousin goes there, says it's a total madhouse. Lunchtime is apparently a free-for-all, and the hallways? Forget about it. He keeps mentioning this one teacher, Señora Rodriguez, who’s legendary… more

Nah, Señora Rodriguez isn't psychic, just really good at her job. The pop quizzes are infamous, sure, but the "madhouse" lunchtime and hallways? That's just standard Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I heard a rumour she once gave a pop quiz during a fire drill. That's the craziest thing I've heard. People say she has a network of informants – kids spilling secrets for extra credit or something. Maybe that's the real superpower.

Seriously? A pop quiz during a FIRE DRILL?! That's next-level insane. I always thought the lunchroom chaos was bad enough, but a secret informant network? Wow. Señora Rodriguez is a legend in her own right. I'm starting to think the stories are almost too good to be true. Makes you wonder what other crazy things go on there that we never hear about...
