Portable fan is a great idea! Seriously, the humidity is killer. Early morning or late afternoon are your best bets to avoid the worst of the heat. The park itself has some shaded areas, but they fill up fast. Find a spot near one of the bigger trees – they offer the best relief. Also, don't forget a good hat and sunscreen; you'll be thanking yourself later. And hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Bring a reusable water bottle and refill it throughout the day. They might have water fountains, but best to be prepared.
