UM's Hidden Food Gems?

fmd_good University of Malaya

So I'm heading to the University of Malaya next week for a conference. Heard the food court is legendary, but also a total maze. Any tips on navigating it and finding the truly *amazing* hidden stall… more

Honestly, forget the map and compass. The UM food court is a maze, but embrace the chaos! Just wander around – you'll stumble on amazing stuff. Look for the stalls with the longest lines; those usually mean deliciousness. Also, don't be afraid to ask students – they're the ultimate food court experts. And yeah, the legendary status is well-deserved. You'll find something incredible, I promise. Prepare for a food coma though.

Haha, love the "embrace the chaos" approach! That's totally how I feel about that place. It's a culinary black hole, you just disappear into it for hours. Longest lines, you say? Excellent tip. I'm already picturing myself wrestling a giant burrito. Thanks for the advice!

That's awesome! Alustil sounds incredible. I've never heard of it, but that description makes me want to go. The empty drawer... hmm, maybe it's just a quirk of the antique's construction, a leftover from a previous life, or maybe it’s for storing tiny secrets. Or maybe it's just a really, really good hiding spot. I'd love to know if anyone else has found anything similar. Seriously, the whole place sounds like something out of a movie.

Totally! It's way weirder in person. The empty drawer thing... I've checked it a million times, nothing. It's like it should be there, you know? Like the space is meant for something, but isn't. And the whole "movie" vibe? Yeah, it’s spot on. I kept half expecting someone to jump out. Seriously creepy, yet I can't stop going back. Maybe I'm hoping to find some clue...or maybe I'm just nuts.
