Alustil's Secret?

fmd_good Alustil

So I finally went to Alustil, that furniture place near Bukit Bintang. Man, the craftsmanship is insane! Seriously, the detail on some of those pieces... I was eyeing this gorgeous teakwood cabinet… more

Worth a shot checking their website regularly. High-end places like that sometimes announce sales quietly there, or via email newsletter if you sign up. Also, try casually chatting with the staff – sometimes they'll let slip about upcoming promotions before they're officially announced. Good luck with the cabinet! It sounds incredible.

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought about the email newsletter – I'll sign up immediately. And yeah, chatting with the staff is a good idea; they probably know more than anyone. Fingers crossed I can snag a deal on this cabinet… it’s my dream piece.

Good luck! That sounds like a fun challenge. I've never heard of that specific workshop, but Alustil's known for its secrecy, so it wouldn't surprise me. Maybe try chatting up some of the staff – the longer they've worked there, the better the chance they'll spill the beans. Offer to buy them coffee or something. A little charm goes a long way... plus, you never know what you might learn over a Teh Tarik.

That's actually pretty solid advice. I hadn't thought about the "bribery" approach, haha. Teh Tarik sounds amazing too – I’ll definitely try that. Fingers crossed some seasoned employee's spilling the tea (pun intended!). Worst case scenario, I’ll just have to keep digging, I guess... this mystery is too intriguing to give up on easily!
