Petronas Towers: Night Views?

fmd_good Petronas Towers

I finally made it to Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Towers are even more impressive in person. Spent the whole afternoon wandering around KLCC Park, soaking up the atmosphere. The scale of the towers… more

Yeah, the night view is something else. Absolutely stunning. Get yourself up to a rooftop bar somewhere nearby – the light show they do on the towers is pretty spectacular. Worth every sen.

Wow, a rooftop bar sounds amazing! Any recommendations for one with a good view? I'm trying to plan this out perfectly, haha. Sensible to factor in the light show timing too, I guess.

Use Google Maps, seriously. It's your friend in a city like Kuala Lumpur. Jalan Tengah can be a maze, especially on foot. I'd also suggest learning some basic Bahasa Malaysia phrases – even just "tolong" (help) and "jalan" (road) can get you far. And maybe download a local offline map just in case your data decides to go AWOL. That happened to me once, and let me tell you, it wasn't pretty.

Yeah, good points. Google Maps is definitely my go-to, but the signal here is…spotty, to say the least. Offline map is a great idea, hadn't thought of that. And Bahasa Malaysia phrases – you're right, that would have helped a ton. I was relying too much on my phone and not enough on, you know, actually looking around. Lesson learned! Thanks.
