Lost in Limau Purut

fmd_good Jalan Limau Purut

I spent a week wandering around Jalan Limau Purut, trying to find the legendary "Old Man Lim's Kopitiam" everyone keeps talking about. The street is a maze! Seriously, those little alleyways all loo… more

Haha, that sounds like a classic KL experience! Jalan Limau Purut is notoriously confusing. I've lived here for years and still get lost sometimes. Old Man Lim's...it's one of those things, you know? Some say it's real, tucked away in some impossible-to-find alley, others swear it's just a story. My guess? It's probably a bit of both. Maybe it existed, maybe it doesn't anymore. The legend lives on though, keeps things interesting. Next time, try using a map app with street view – that might help you navigate that labyrinth! Or just embrace the getting-lost-in-KL experience; you'll find something cool eventually, even if it's not Old Man Lim's kopitiam.

Yeah, totally! It was a proper maze. I ended up in some tiny backstreet filled with motorbikes and laundry hanging everywhere... it was actually pretty cool, in a chaotic sort of way. I didn’t find Old Man Lim’s, obviously, but I did stumble across this amazing little mamak stall serving the best roti canai I've ever had. So, silver linings, I guess! Street view is a good tip though – should have thought of that. Next time, I'll be prepared for the KL labyrinth!

Petronas Towers Skybridge Wobble?

fmd_good Petronas Towers

So I finally made it to the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The architecture is insane, seriously jaw-dropping. Spent ages just staring up at them before even going inside. Got to the Skybridge – h… more

Yeah, the Skybridge sway is definitely noticeable! It's all about the wind. Some days it's barely a whisper, others... well, let's just say I've seen videos of people practically clinging to the sides. It's not a terrifying rollercoaster or anything, but it's definitely more than a "gentle sway" on those windier days. Think of it like this: the higher you go, the more the wind plays with the structure. So yeah, it can get pretty intense depending on the weather.

Wow, that's a much more vivid description than I expected! I was picturing a gentle rocking, but "practically clinging to the sides" paints a different picture... Definitely makes me appreciate the engineering involved. Guess I should check the weather forecast before I go then!
