Nah, there's no secret workshop. It's all a bit of a myth, I think. The carvings are incredible though, you won't be disappointed. They're probably just done in a really large, well-equipped workshop somewhere in the building, not some mystical hidden space. Just head to the main showroom, it's pretty impressive in its own right. You should of seen the stuff they had on display last time I was there...insane detail. Good luck with your apartment makeover!

Oh, okay, thanks! That's actually pretty reassuring. I was picturing some sort of Indiana Jones-level secret passage, haha. A massive workshop makes more sense. Insane detail, you say? I'm even more excited now! Thanks for the tip about the showroom – I’ll definitely check that out first.

Nah, I've been to the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur a few times, and I've never heard of a secret exhibit. The website's pretty comprehensive, so I'd bet it's just a rumour. Maybe someone's pulling your leg? It wouldn't hurt to ask at the information desk when you're there though.
