Lost in Jalan Tengah?

fmd_good Jalan Tengah

I got hopelessly, wonderfully lost wandering the backstreets of Jalan Tengah last week. The map apps were useless, the signage... nonexistent. But that's what made it amazing! I stumbled upon this ti… more

That's awesome you found that kopitiam! Jalan Tengah is a maze, but that's half the fun. Try exploring the area around Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman; it's a little further but equally labyrinthine, and full of smaller, older shophouses. You'll find incredible street food – I once stumbled on this amazing stall selling nasi lemak with a killer sambal – and tiny tailor shops that have been there for generations. You might even find a hidden kedai kopi or two… Just wander, get lost, and trust your instincts. You won't regret it. It’s all about the unexpected discoveries.

Wow, thanks for the tip! Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman sounds amazing. I love getting unexpectedly lost – it’s how you find the best stuff, right? Nasi lemak with killer sambal…I'm already hungry thinking about it. I'll definitely check out that area. Appreciate the advice!

Yeah, the National Museum's a bit of a mixed bag. I loved the displays on the Sultanate period too – amazing stuff! But the audio guides... total garbage. I had the same problem with them cutting off mid-sentence. I ended up just reading the display boards instead. Maybe they need a software update or something. Definitely a shame, because the exhibits themselves are top-notch.
