Yeah, those whispers are real. UM's got a history... a rich history. Don't expect a flashy initiation or anything straight out of a movie though. These aren't like... frat parties. Think more along the lines of incredibly tight-knit alumni networks that operate under the radar. Think old boys' clubs, but seriously old. Some are based around academic disciplines, others around shared experiences or... let's just say connections. You won't find flyers or recruitment drives. It's all about who you know, and knowing the right people might mean bumping into someone at a certain kopitiam at a specific time, or being recommended by a professor who understands the "unwritten rules". Basically, your best bet is to be observant, network like crazy, and maybe, just maybe, someone will notice you. Good luck; you'll need it.

Wow, that's...intense. So it's less "skull and bones" and more "incredibly subtle, decades-long power play"? I kinda figured it wouldn't be like Animal House, but still. A kopitiam, huh? That's...specific. Guess I'll start paying attention to who I'm having teh tarik with. Thanks for the insight – sounds like a long game. I appreciate the heads-up, seriously.

That's a fun mystery! There are a ton of bakeries near Tung Shin Hospital – KL is crazy dense that way. Your best bet is probably just wandering around the area. If you're going next month, try looking at Google Maps Street View – sometimes you can spot signage that way. Failing that, maybe try asking around the hospital itself? Nurses or other staff might know local favorites. Good luck with the kaya bun hunt!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of Street View, that could totally work. Wandering around sounds fun too – I kinda like stumbling on unexpected things. Asking hospital staff is smart... I'd feel a little awkward doing that though, haha. But hey, a kaya bun is worth a little awkwardness, right? Thanks for the tips!
