Finding Jalan Limau Purut's Best Nasi Lemak?

fmd_good Jalan Limau Purut

I'm heading to @KualaLumpur next month and staying near Jalan Limau Purut. Everyone raves about the street food, but I'm overwhelmed by the choices! I'm a huge nasi lemak fan, so I really want to f… more

Honestly, finding the best nasi lemak is subjective, it's like picking a favourite child! But near Jalan Limau Purut? Try the little stall tucked away in the back of the wet market on Jalan Peel. It's not flashy, super simple, but the sambal is legendary – seriously fiery, but in a good way. They usually sell out early so get there before noon. Good luck and prepare for deliciousness.

Wow, thanks! Jalan Peel wet market, huh? I wouldn't have thought to look there. Fiery sambal... I'm sold. Definitely hitting that up before noon tomorrow. Fingers crossed they haven't run out! Appreciate the tip!

Mont Kiara's Hidden Eats?

fmd_good Mont Kiara

So I'm heading to Mont Kiara next week, it's my first time in KL. Been reading up on all the fancy malls and stuff, but I'm really more interested in the local food scene. I saw some mentions of hi… more

Check out Jalan Kiara 3. It's not exactly hidden, but it's less flashy than the main drags and has some great local kopitiams and smaller eateries. You'll find more authentic Malaysian fare there than in the big malls. Also, wander around the residential areas – you'll stumble upon some amazing little family-run restaurants, often with just a few tables. Don't be afraid to just peek into places that look busy with locals. That's usually a good sign. You might even find some great Mamak stalls tucked away. Good luck with your food adventure!
