Nah, no secret password needed. Alustil's pretty upfront about their stuff. Just wander around; they've got multiple showrooms, not just one cramped workshop. The handcrafted pieces are usually displayed prominently – think main floor, maybe near the entrance. They rotate stock though, so what your friend saw might not be there. But you'll definitely see other amazing stuff. It's less about finding a specific thing and more about letting yourself be surprised by their insane selection. Go with an open mind and prepare to be wowed. You'll find something incredible, I guarantee it.

That's awesome, thanks! I figured it wasn't some super secret club or anything, but I was worried it was going to be tiny and hard to navigate. Multiple showrooms is way better than I expected! Sounds like a great excuse for a little afternoon stroll then. Appreciate the heads up about the rotating stock – I'll definitely go in with low expectations about finding that exact piece, but high hopes for finding something equally amazing. Thanks again!

That's awesome you're going to Jalan Limau Purut! It's got a really nice, old-school feel. I've never heard of a specific hidden mural, though – maybe it's a pretty recent thing? My guess is it's probably just some cool street art someone did, not some big local legend. Plenty of artists pop up in unexpected places in KL. Your best bet is just to wander around the residential streets – get lost a bit, you'll probably find something interesting.
