National Museum's Secrets?

fmd_good National Museum

So, I finally made it to the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur, spent hours wandering through those amazing exhibits on Malaysian history. It was seriously impressive, all the artifacts and displays.… more

Lol, those hidden tunnels? Total urban legend, I think. I've been researching Malaysian history for ages, and never stumbled upon anything concrete about secret passages under the National Museum. Maybe someone started a rumour, and it just snowballed from there. Plenty of cool stuff is in that museum though, you should check out the Islamic art section if you haven't already. It's seriously mind-blowing.

Jalan Tengah Enigma

fmd_good Jalan Tengah

I'm heading to Jalan Tengah soon, and all the online info is... vague. Locals call it "Tengah," right? My friend described it as a place where time kinda melts – old shophouses next to gleaming new… more

Yeah, everyone just calls it Tengah. It's exactly as your friend described – a total mashup. That alley he mentioned... it's probably Lorong Panglima, or something similar nearby. Those little side streets are labyrinths. The durian smell is definitely a giveaway. No hidden history I know of, officially, but the place feels old. Like, generations of families have lived and worked there, leaving their mark on the architecture and the vibe. The legendary kopitiam? Probably just a really good one, but hey, that's part of the charm, isn't it? Go explore, get lost, and grab some of that strong coffee. You won't regret it. Just be aware of your surroundings, especially at night.
