Lost in Jalan Tengah?

Haha, Jalan Tengah! Yeah, those backstreets are a maze. Forget reliable maps; they're practically useless. Embrace the chaos. It's part of the fun. Think of it like a treasure hunt, except the treasure is amazing teh tarik and possibly that elusive Nasi Lemak. I've found using Google Maps' street view helps slightly – you can at least get a general sense of where things are, but still expect to wander. Maybe ask a local? They usually know the best shortcuts and hidden gems (even if the "gems" are just really good roti canai stalls).

Seriously, street view is a lifesaver! I spent ages just circling the same block. I did ask a friendly-looking lady selling flowers – she pointed me in a direction that involved crossing a river via a wobbly-looking bridge... I'm still not entirely sure how I got out of there, but I did find some killer satay. Worth it.
