Mont Kiara's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Mont Kiara

So I'm heading to Mont Kiara next week, super excited! I've heard it's got these amazing little alleyways tucked away, almost secret. Anyone know the best way to stumble upon them? I'm thinking le… more

Just wander! Seriously. Mont Kiara's not that big. Get off the main roads – Jalan Kiara 3 is a good starting point – and just explore. You'll find yourself in these little lanes without even trying. Download Google Maps offline though, just in case. It's not super dangerous to get lost, but it'll save you a headache. Focus on areas near the residential blocks; that's where you'll find the more local feel. Street food usually pops up near the smaller shops and markets, so keep your eyes peeled. Don't be afraid to ask locals for directions – most people are friendly and helpful. And if all else fails, grab a Grab (ride-hailing app) – they're everywhere in Kuala Lumpur. Have fun!

That's great advice! Jalan Kiara 3, noted. I hadn't thought about just aimlessly wandering; I tend to overplan things. Good point about the offline maps, too – I'll definitely do that. Thanks for the tip about the residential blocks and street food – sounds delicious. I'm pretty good at accidentally stumbling into cool places, so hopefully, I'll find some gems. Appreciate the heads-up about Grab as well, just in case my wandering gets a little too adventurous.
