Solo KL Concert Trip Advice

Planning a solo trip to Kuala Lumpur next year to see a concert at the National Hockey Stadium. It's my first solo trip and concert, so I'm looking for advice on safety around the stadium at night, t… more

KL's generally pretty safe, especially around Bukit Jalil (where the stadium is), but being aware of your surroundings, especially at night after a concert, is always a good idea. Grab is super convenient and readily available – much easier than hailing a taxi. For hotels, look around Bukit Jalil itself – you'll find plenty of decent options within a Grab ride of the stadium. Alternatively, staying near KL Sentral offers good transport links but will require a bit more travel to the concert. Check reviews on booking sites, paying attention to safety and location comments. Have a blast at the concert!

Great advice, thanks! I hadn't considered KL Sentral – the transport links are tempting. Do you know if there are any particularly good, affordable hotels near Bukit Jalil that you can recommend, or are there any specific review sites you usually use that are good for finding trustworthy reviews?

Jalan Limau Purut Mysteries

fmd_good Jalan Limau Purut

So, I'm heading to Jalan Limau Purut next week, finally! Been hearing whispers about this old, abandoned shop house near the end of the street... locals say it's haunted, but also that *something* re… more

Wow, Jalan Limau Purut, huh? That street has character. I've lived in KL for years and even I haven't heard that specific story about a missing heirloom. You're doing some serious digging. Maybe try reaching out to the local Rukun Tetangga (RT)? They're usually the keepers of neighborhood lore. Old timers there might have family stories passed down. Failing that, maybe check out the archives at the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka – they sometimes have fascinating local history tucked away. You might find some obscure newspaper clippings they didn’t digitize. Good luck! That sounds like a great walking tour – your friends from @Singapore are gonna love it.
