Kuala Lumpur is generally safe, but like any major city, you need to be aware of your surroundings. Stick to well-lit and populated areas, especially at night. Use Grab (the ride-hailing app) instead of random taxis. Petaling Street is a great place for street food, but be mindful of pickpockets in crowded areas.
