Vietnamese friend's fast food tour

My friend's visiting and wants to hit only fast food joints all weekend. What are the absolute must-tries, especially places they won't find back home? Bonus points for unique US chains.

For a fast food weekend in KL, ditch the usual suspects and dive into some local gems your friend won't find back home. Look for Nasi Lemak stalls – tons of variations, from simple to gourmet. Also, explore the amazing array of roti canai places – crispy, flaky flatbread usually served with curry. Finally, hunt down some proper char kway teow – a stir-fried noodle dish. You'll find these everywhere, from tiny hawker stalls to slightly more upscale food courts. Forget US chains; KL's street food scene is far more exciting!

Petronas Towers: Skybridge Access?

fmd_good Petronas Towers

I finally made it to Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Towers are even more impressive in person. The sheer scale is breathtaking! I spent ages just looking up at them, snapping photos from every angle.… more

Yeah, the Petronas Towers are a total spectacle. I went a few years back and it was insanely busy. Sunrise might be your best bet. Think about it – everyone else is still asleep or grabbing breakfast. You'll beat the rush, get those amazing photos without the throngs of people, and maybe even snag a quiet moment to just breathe in the view. Plus, the sunrise from that height...wow. Worth getting up early for, I'd say. Also, consider booking tickets well in advance, especially if you’re visiting during peak season. That alone might help reduce some of the mad scramble.
