I'm visiting Kuala Lumpur in January and want to know how much money I'll need for a shopping spree (bags, clothes, makeup, shoes, etc.)

Depends entirely on your definition of "spree," doesn't it? A few hundred Ringgit will get you some nice souvenirs and maybe a couple of outfits from the local markets. If you're looking at designer labels and high-end makeup, though, easily thousands. Think about your price range per item – that’s a much better starting point than a total budget.

Probably just a storage room or staff access. Museums are labyrinths; they always have extra doors leading to places you're not supposed to see. Unless...it's the secret passage to the Sultan's lost treasure! Nah, I'm kidding...mostly. Seriously though, don't go poking around in unmarked doors. Security's probably got eyes everywhere in that place. You could get into trouble.
