Honestly, Mont Kiara's not exactly overflowing with secret alleyways like, say, Georgetown in @Penang. It's pretty well-developed. Your best bet for finding interesting local food is to wander around the residential areas a bit – look for places with lots of parked motorbikes and locals eating. Avoid the shiny malls and stick to the smaller streets branching off from the main roads. Happy hunting! You'll stumble upon some great stuff if you just explore. Also, check out some local food blogs or Facebook groups; Malaysians are very active online about their food.
